What a year in the world of sports! We covered a lot this year as Game 7 Sports got its first full calendar year under its belt so thank you for being a part of it! The University of Connecticut Women’s Basketball team has had incredible on the court success for as long as I can remember and is truly the definition of a perennial powerhouse. This past year the team hit the historic milestone of 100 straight wins. Read more here…

The North Carolina Tar Heels raised the trophy at the end of March Madness but their neighbors at the University of South Carolina were the ones who really stole the show. With 2017 Coach of the Year Frank Martin at the helm the Gamecocks shocked the world with an incredible Final Four run that has finally put their program on the map. Read more here…

NHL

Death, taxes and the Chicago Blackhawks raising the trophy at the end of the NHL season. These three things seemed unavoidable until this past year when the Blackhawks were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. Is the dynasty over or is there finally parity in the NHL? Read more here…

Kevin Durant may have multiple twitter accounts but now he has an NBA Championship to go with them. The Golden State Warriors acquisition really proved that the rich do get richer and made them the leagues permanent villain. But it doesn’t matter what you say or think, Kevin’s got his ring. Offseason

Following a dramatic NBA Playoffs, weary NBA fans were given no respite as the league jumped into a wild offseason full of rumors, trades and signings. To help wrap our mind around the craziness we asked Google which moves made most buzz online. Read more here…

World Series

The Houston Astros are your 2017 World Series Champions. A team that went from zero to hero helped bring smiles and cheers to a city still recovering from the damage of hurricane Harvey. Read more here…
